Want to see hummingbirds up close? These pollinators are not just beautiful and graceful to watch, but are wonderful little helpers in the garden 🌹🌿🌞
First, hang nectar feeders filled with sugar water to draw them to your yard for a few weeks. Make hand feeders by wrapping a red pipe cleaner (red attracts hummingbirds) around the top of a plastic floral tube ( available from a florist or floral supplier); fill with sugar water. After birds have found your traditional feeders, add tube feeders for a few days. Then, take down traditional feeders. Sit quietly and wait with your tube feeder in hand at dawn and dusk, when there is the most hummingbird traffic. Voila.
