Bloom works is a fine gardening company located in Southwestern Ontario. The owner, Chelsea Lefler, has almost a decade of professional gardening experience in the area. She attended Queen's University for a BSc in Physical Geography and GIS. She lived in the Seychelles, Africa, working in the field of Conservation Biology. She couldn't stay out of the tree nursery while there and re-organized the whole place; including the re-potting and pruning of trees.

 

Bloom works focuses on the areas of Brant County, Ancaster, and parts of Norfolk County. English, cottage, Japanese shade and naturalized/ pollinator gardens are our specialty. We create continuous flushes of colour in the garden, while introducing native and/ or uncommon plant varieties. We like to be a little different. We are excellent at naturalizing gardens, while keeping structure and aesthetics.

We implement services and methods that focus on sustainability and ecology. This in turn reduces electricity and water bills, and exhaust fumes. We love the idea of low maintenance and drought tolerant landscapes that are harsh winter ready. Bird, butterfly, and wildlife gardens are our passion. These contain mostly native plant life and perennials. Consider it a small scale ecological restoration project in an urban area. Giving back to the environment, but also being rewarded with beauty and visiting fauna.

 

We have certified a dozen of our maintenance properties through the Canadian Wildlife Federation as Wildlife friendly gardens.
